Living in New York City as a college student is exciting time. The freedom to do what you want, when you want is a pretty cool feeling. Not having to deal with parents and there rules and expectations is a breath of fresh air.
I currently go to school at The King's college down in the financial district, so its a perfect place for a business student, like me, to attend school. I'm now in my second year of school and its been a pretty good ride so far. I've learned a lot through my experiences. King's isn't like a normal school, where meals are provided for you or living in dormitories. Instead, we have to make our own food and we live in apartments that the school rents out to us. At first glance it doesn't sound all that bad, but then comes in responsibility. Responsibility isn't as easy as it seems and its mainly a buzz kill. Having to make yourself food everyday and taking care of yourself requires a little discipline.
You now have to make a budget for yourself, do your own laundry, wash dishes, etc. just a bunch of fun stuff. If you don't you'll become messy and probably run out of money fast because this city loves to take your money. That;s why i'm creating this blog. I want to make your lives a little easier by saving you as much money as you can and having a lot of fun in a city that has so much to offer. We'll be talking about how you can make a budget and what ideas you can use to save money in groceries and entertaining yourself. You'll be able to explore the city and save some cash while doing it.
